Webmaster's Page

I enter the QRPHB/SWL HomeBuilder site via this page. It has some often used resources for designing and analyzing circuits plus sourcing and ordering parts. Although most of the parts links are from Digi-Key, basic information about the part is provided by Digi-Key and can be extrapolated for searching other parts suppliers or cross referencing.

This is really not intended to be a major public page for the QRPHB/SWL web site as it contains my personal links and perhaps is a little self-indulgent.

1000 pF RF cap with C0G TC Good for bypass in VFOs where temperature is critical
  7. Multi-layer, monolithic ceramic capacitors from Digi-Key. These are the main RF caps I use  I use C0G TC whenever possible
  8. Smaller value C0G ceramic caps; 10 pF and less. Good for linking double tuned circuits and VFO tanks

  1. Popcorn CMOS Analog Switches
  2. I consider the 4052, 4053 and 4066 "popcorn quality" mixers because they are slower and have a higher ON-resistance (say 100 ohms or so) than the high speed bus switches used in high-end rigs like the K3 and Triad receivers. Even a lowly silicon diode will have just a few ohms ON-resistance when conducting. The following 74HC/4000 series ICs are DIP - okay  for some  popcorn receivers.
